India’s wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik is emotional before going to play against Pakistan in the first match of the T20 World Cup. He remembers his struggle in cricket. He also thanked Indian team captain Rohit Sharma for reposing faith in him.

Thanking Rohit Sharma on Instagram, Karthik wrote, “One person has seen all these ups and downs. They believed in me. Taught me to believe that light can be seen at the end of a dark cave. His name is Rohit Sharma. I am always grateful to him.

Karthik has been seen in the role of a finisher in the Indian team in many matches. Rohit has played Karthik despite having Rishabh Pant. Before the World Cup, Rohit had said that Karthik is the finisher of his team. Rohit’s faith has given confidence in Karthik. So he thanked the captain of the team.

Dinesh Karthik is grateful not only to Rohit but to another teammate. He is Abhishek Nayar. Even when everyone thought Karthik should retire, Nair relied on him.
