However, Umrah Malik has set a new target in the new year. Shoaib Akhtar wants to surpass India’s young pacer.
In an interview, the 24-year-old Umran said, “At the moment, I am just thinking of performing well for the country. If I can bowl well, if I get the help of luck, I will break Shoaib Akhtar’s record. But I’m not worried about this record at all. I have only one goal. It’s just a good game for the country.
“I don’t know how hard I am bowling during the match. After coming back to the dressing room after the game, I came to know how hard I had bowled. My goal on the field is to throw the ball in the right place and pick up wickets. ’
