In 2022, the ICC has arranged the team with those who spread the light in the Test. England star Ben Stokes has been named the captain of the ICC’s XI of the Year. No one from Bangladesh got a place in the XI.

Apart from Stokes, there are two other English stars in the XI – Jonny Bairstow and James Anderson. However, most of the players got the place from Australia. There are a total of four Aussie cricketers in the Test XI of the year. Apart from this, one player from Pakistan, India, West Indies, and South Africa has been included in this XI.
