Asian giants Sri Lanka have confirmed the Super Twelve of the T20 World Cup by defeating the Netherlands. Dasun Shanakara’s team defeated the Dutch by 16 runs in the ‘A’ group match at the Cardinia Oval in Geelong on Thursday.
The Netherlands managed to score 146 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs in the target of 163 runs given by Sri Lanka. Opener Max O’Dowd fought alone for the Dutch.

He remained unbeaten on 71 off 53 balls. His innings included 3 sixes and 6 fours. Captain Scott Edwards scored 21 runs.
