England and South Africa face each other in the first of the three-match ODI series. The South African Cricket Board has already had a busy time with the SA T20 franchise-based tournament. On top of that, the preoccupation with England increased anew.

After a long time, Pacer Jofra Archer got a place in the England XI. Harry Brooke made his ODI debut. On the other hand, Lungi Ngidi and Keshav Maharaj did not make it to South Africa’s XI.

The second ODI will be held on January 29 and the last ODI will be held on February 1.
