Shakib’s unique record as the first cricketer in the world
Shakib Al Hasan fought alone for Bangladesh with the bat yesterday. He remained unbeaten on 68 off 52 balls. Through these innings, Shakib has touched the milestone of 2000 runs in T20Is. He entered the 100-wicket club in this format earlier. As a result, Shakib became the first cricketer in history to score 2,000 runs and take 100 wickets in international T20Is.
Shakib, who has played 98 T20 International matches, now has 2005 runs to his name and 120 wickets. He is also the highest wicket-taker in this format.
