Bangladesh team all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is not playing in the series-deciding match against Ireland on Sunday (May 14). The world’s best all-rounder has been knocked out by a finger injury.
In the second ODI of the series, Shakib suffered a finger pain while fielding a catch. The incident took place when George Dockrell was caught by Mehdi Hasan Miraj. However, it was not yet understood how much the poster boy of Bangladesh cricket was injured. Fielding was done with those fingers. After that, he also batted fluently with the bat.
But the next day came the bad news. That finger injury ruled Shakib out of cricket for four weeks. Therefore, in the last match of the series against Ireland, Tiger captain Tamim Iqbal is not getting the best player in the team.
However, the series against Ireland did not go well for Shakib. He was dismissed for 20 runs in the first ODI. After scoring 26 runs with the bat in the second ODI, he was wicketless with the ball.
