Sai Kishore, a budding cricketer, found himself choked with emotion as he stepped onto the field to perform India’s national anthem during the Asian Games Men’s T20I 2023 match against Nepal in Hangzhou. Wearing the Indian jersey for the first time, tears of joy welled up in his eyes.

Making his debut at the age of 26, Sai Kishore left an indelible mark by delivering an impressive performance, securing figures of 1/25 in four overs and successfully completing three catches. In accomplishing this remarkable feat, he became only the second cricketer, following Pakistan’s Hussain Talat, to pick up a wicket and three catches during their inaugural appearance in men’s T20 international cricket.
