Pieter made his debut for the Netherlands in 2006. He became the captain of the team in 2018. He has scored 322 runs in 56 one-day matches for the Netherlands. He took 55 wickets. Peter has scored 591 runs in 77 T20 matches. Peter has taken 58 wickets in T20Is. Peter last took the field in the first one-day match against England on June 17.
