Pathan weighed in on the possibility of an India-Sri Lanka final, suggesting it would make for a more evenly contested match.

“Playing finals against Sri Lanka will be better for team India as it won’t be a one-sided affair,” Pathan wrote.

Pathan also praised Sri Lanka’s recent form, recognizing their well-balanced team and formidable batting lineup.

“Sri Lanka in the last couple of games have played exceedingly well. They have pure batters who can bowl. Long batting line-up. Team for the future for sure. #srilankacricket,” he further emphasized.

Aakash Chopra, another former cricketer and renowned commentator, jumped into the banter and humorously noted that Pakistan would now be considered the third-best team in Asia.
