There has been a major change in the ICC Test bowlers’ rankings. Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has overtaken James Anderson to the top of the latest rankings.

Ashwin has risen to the top of the rankings after performing well in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy. In 2015, the Indian spinner became the number-one bowler in Tests for the first time. This time, the 36-year-old Ashwin has risen to the top again.

Ashwin has risen to the top with 864 rating points. Anderson’s rating, which dropped to number two, is 859. Australia captain Pat Cummins is in third place with one point less than the English pacer.

Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah has risen to number four despite being out of the game. Ollie Robinson dropped to six, leaving him in place. Pakistan fast bowler Shaheen Afridi has moved up one step to number five.

Kagiso Rabada (7), Ravindra Jadeja (8), Kyle Jameson (9), and Mitchell Starc (10) are next in the top 10.

This year’s ranking has given bad news to Bangladesh. Taijul Islam, Mehedi Hasan Miraz and Shakib Al Hasan have taken a step back. Taijul is number 25. Miraz is at number 26 and Shakib is at number 29.
