Mustafizur aims to bring joy to all with his best performance.

Although Mustafizur had not received the Man of the Match award in an ODI for four years, he had previously played a crucial role in the team’s victories. His current performance has brought back memories of his earlier days.
Mustafizur Rahman was previously the primary weapon of Bangladesh’s pace attack in limited-overs cricket. However, due to a lack of form and consistency, he has been in and out of the team. Despite being the most experienced and successful fast bowler in the team, he did not get an opportunity in the first two matches of the Ireland series, which was understandable.
Despite not being missed by the team, Mustafizur Rahman managed to secure a place in the last match’s eleven due to the team’s need for pacers. It’s uncertain what was going through his mind, whether he felt any pressure or determination. Nevertheless, Mustafizur displayed his best bowling performance, claiming the team’s first wicket in the first spell and delivering an outstanding performance in the last spell.
With the team in need of a few more quick wickets, Nazmul Hossain Shanto provided the much-needed breakthrough by dismissing Harry Tector. At the end of the over, the team required only 49 runs in 8 overs, while Lorcan Tucker continued to play brilliantly.
Mostafiz perfectly met the team’s demand by sending back Curtis Camper and the dangerous George Dockrell in two successive overs, while also stopping Tucker’s fifty in his last over. Mustafiz’s spell of 3-0-9-3 led the team to victory, and he was awarded man of the match with 4 wickets for 44 runs.
Last recognized as the best in ODIs in May 2019 during the tri-series in Ireland ahead of the World Cup against the West Indies, the old Mustafiz was seen at the award ceremony with funny responses. When asked if he believed the team would win when he took the ball in the last spell, he confidently replied, “It’s normal for me… I always do it!”
Mustafiz claimed that he had the idea from the previous day that he would do something great on the field in the last match, saying “I was thinking that I will take 5 wickets from the day before.” When asked what he would do with the matchmaker’s $750 by commentator Alan Wilkins, Mostafiz replied with a smile, “I’ll go shopping…”
After this flashy episode at the end of the match, Mostafiz expressed his thoughts on social media, “I love my team. I love the smile on the faces of the people of my country. I will try to give my best and put a smile on your face again and again.”
