Mustafizur Rahman left for England today to join the Bangladesh team to play the three-match ODI series against Ireland. He came to Dhaka from India on Wednesday and sat on the England plane again today. Posting the picture on his verified Facebook page, Mustafiz wrote, ‘This is the time to fulfill the responsibility of the national team. Going to England to play the series between Bangladesh and Ireland. I want to pray to all of you.

Mustafiz played for Delhi Capitals in IPL. Mustafiz has played only two matches in this year’s IPL. He took 1 wicket with 38 runs in 4 overs in the match against Mumbai. And he was wicketless with 41 runs in 3 overs against Delhi Capitals. The three-match series to be held in Chelmsford, England is part of the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League. Three ODIs will be held on May 9, 12 and 14. Bangladesh will play a preparatory match before this.
