Only Tamim Iqbal had more than 14 thousand runs in all formats in Bangladesh jersey. This time Mushfiqur Rahim reached that milestone. The right-handed batsman became the second Bangladeshi to score 14,000 runs in international cricket. Mushfiqur was relatively ineffective with the bat for a long time. Many saw the end of Mushfiqur’s international career. But the star batsman proved himself again in the series against Ireland. He said that he had not finished yet.

After showing power in the ODI series, Mushfiqur has been on fire with the bat in the only Test against the Irish. He played an excellent inning of 126 runs in the first innings with the bat. Batting for the target of 138 runs, he is leading the Bangladesh team to victory. Mushfiqur was not in the T20 series against the Irish. He has moved away from the smallest format a year ago. He played an impeccable inning of 44 runs in the first ODI match. Captain Tamim Iqbal himself praised Mushi’s brilliant cameo innings with the bat.

Mushfiqur is more mature in the next match. The veteran cricketer of Tigers scored a century in that match which was abandoned due to rain. Mushfiqur has also set a new record in that 60-ball century. This is the fastest ODI century for the Tigers. Shakib Al Hasan previously held the record. Among the three formats, Mushfiqur has the most runs in ODIs. He played 245 matches in the 50-over format and scored 7045 runs. Mushfiqur’s runs in 84 innings in Tests are more than five and a half thousand. And one and a half thousand in T20.
