Bangladesh’s batter, Mushfiqur Rahim, expressed his strong desire to surpass Bangladesh’s highest achievement in the World Cup during an event at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.

Having participated in four previous ODI World Cups, the seasoned player is poised to engage in his fifth tournament, once again holding a pivotal role in the middle-order of the Tigers’ batting lineup.

“I consider myself fortunate to have contributed to the last four World Cups. If given the opportunity this time, I am determined to exceed the outcomes of our previous four appearances,” Mushfiqur conveyed to the press. “We possess the capacity and confidence, yet it all hinges on a strong start on the day of the match. The importance of a solid beginning cannot be overstated.”

“Given our extensive experience in ODIs and the consistent performance over the past several years, we hold the potential to secure a favorable outcome,” he further emphasized.

Bangladesh achieved their most notable World Cup result in 2015, reaching the quarterfinals of the competition before India eliminated them from the tournament.
