Liton Das and Sabina Khatun Triumph at BSPA Awards. Liton Das, the right-handed batter from Bangladesh, has been honored with the prestigious Bangladesh Sports Press Association (BSPA) Sports Person of the Year 2022 award for his outstanding performances across all formats of the game. Meanwhile, Sabina Khatun, the captain of the Bangladesh women’s football team, received the Popular Choice award alongside archer Nasrin Akter.

The award ceremony took place at a hotel in Dhaka, with renowned figures from the country’s sports community in attendance. The State Minister for Youth and Sports of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Zahid Ahsan Russel, graced the occasion as the chief guest and presented the awards to deserving winners.

In addition to being named the Sports Person of the Year, Liton Das also clinched the Best Cricketer of the Year award in the male category. Nigar Sultana Joty received the Best Cricketer of the Year award in the female category.

Sabina Khatun, the accomplished footballer, was recognized as the Female Footballer of the Year, while Robson Da Silva, the Brazilian forward from Bashundhara Kings, secured the award in the male category.
