KL Rahul Ruled Out of Ireland Series and Asia Cup, Jasprit Bumrah Making Progress, Uncertainty Surrounds Shreyas Iyer’s Comeback

Unfortunately, KL Rahul will not be able to participate in the upcoming Ireland series as well as the Asia Cup. Suffering a thigh injury during the IPL 2023, Rahul continues to undergo rehabilitation at the NCA (National Cricket Academy). It is unlikely that he will recover in time for the Asia Cup scheduled for September this year.

However, there is some positive news for Indian cricket fans as Jasprit Bumrah has started bowling in the nets and is on the path to making a comeback during the Ireland series. Bumrah, who has been out of action since September last year due to a serious back injury, may also feature in the Asia Cup, which follows the Indian team’s tour of Ireland.

On the other hand, the return of Shreyas Iyer remains uncertain. Iyer was ruled out of IPL 2023 due to a back injury, and there is no guarantee of his availability for either the Ireland tour or the Asia Cup.

Currently, the Indian team, led by Rohit Sharma, is engaged in a two-match Test series against West Indies. Following that, they will play a three-match T20I series against Ireland before participating in the Asia Cup, which is scheduled to be held in Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
