Earlier, legendary cricketer and World Cup-winning captain Kapil Dev had set this record for India.
Jadeja reached the milestone of 500 wickets in international cricket by dismissing Australian opener Travis Head on Wednesday. The 34-year-old all-rounder achieved this feat by playing 63 Tests, 171 ODIs, and 64 T20 matches for the country.
