The recent update on the death toll from the three-train crash near Balasore in Odisha revealed an upward revision to 288 casualties.

The incident also left over 1,175 individuals injured, with many in critical condition. While the Indian Test team is currently in London, competing against Australia at the Oval, they took a moment before the national anthems to honor the victims. The Board of Control for Cricket in India expressed their condolences to the affected families and friends, stating that Team India would wear black armbands in solidarity with those affected by the tragedy.
