The ODI World Cup will start in India next October. But from the looks of the situation, it seems that until the World Cup is built on the field, the terms and negotiations between India and Pakistan cricket related parties will continue. Uncertainty about the venue has not ended. Pakistan has given a condition that if India does not go to their country to play the Asia Cup, they won’t go to India to play the World Cup.

India had refused to participate in the Asia Cup to be held in Pakistan in September. They are not willing to go to Pakistan because of diplomatic animosity. Instead, India opted for a hybrid model of hosting matches at neutral venues but Pakistan is not a vessel to give up. They also informed that if India does not come, they will not go to play the World Cup in that country. They also want to play at neutral venues.

Meanwhile, the news of the Indian news agency PTI said that Pakistan has given new conditions to play the World Cup in India. Although not a neutral venue, they have specified the venue. The two venues proposed by Babar Azam are Kolkata and Chennai. Earlier in 2016 T20 World Cup, both the teams met in Kolkata. Apart from this, they have played many tournaments in Kolkata. That’s why they want to play in Kolkata. Kolkata and Chennai – the security of these two cities is very good. So both cities are Pakistan’s first choice.
However, the ICC wants to host their matches in Ahmedabad as the game between the two arch-rivals has the highest public interest. The organization wants to make more profit from this match in that field with a capacity of more than 100,000. They have already chosen Narendra Modi Stadium for the final.

Meanwhile, reports in the Indian media suggest that the selected stadium is likely to get the responsibility of hosting the high-profile IND-PAK match in the ODI World Cup to be held in October-November. It is reported that the Board of Cricket in India (BCCI) is going to decide to host the match in Ahmedabad. The World Cup schedule and venue may be announced after the ongoing IPL.

However, there was no statement from the Pakistan Cricket Board on this matter. It is heard that the World Cup may continue from October 5 to November 19. The World Cup games will be held in 12 cities in India. This competition will continue for 46 consecutive days. A total of 48 games will be played in the 10-team competition, including three knockout stage matches. The World Cup matches will be held in Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Dharamshala, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Indore, Rajkot and Mumbai.
