Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans are set to collide in Qualifier 1 of IPL 2023 at MA Chidambaram Stadium. In their previous encounter this season, the Hardik Pandya-led team secured a five-wicket victory over CSK in Ahmedabad. However, the upcoming match at Chepauk, known as the stronghold of the Men in Yellow, could see a different outcome. Besides the highly anticipated clash, spectators will also keep a close watch on the weather, hoping that rain does not disrupt the game.

As per Accuweather, Chennai is expected to have a sunny day with minimal chances of rainfall. The probability of precipitation stands at just 2 percent, while cloud cover is predicted to be around 1 percent. Furthermore, the likelihood of thunderstorms is zero percent.

In the event of rain, the outcome of Qualifier 1, Eliminator, Qualifier 2, and the final will be determined through a super over. However, if the playing conditions do not allow for a super over to take place, the results will be based on the teams’ performances during the league stage. This rule applies exclusively to Qualifier 1, Eliminator, and Qualifier 2, as these matches do not have designated reserve days.

If the Qualifier 1 match is abandoned due to rain, the Gujarat Titans will advance directly to the final, having secured the top spot in the league stage.

The Eliminator is scheduled to take place between Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants at the same venue on Wednesday. Subsequently, Qualifier 2 and the final will be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Friday and Sunday respectively.
