Mominul Haque, the former captain of Bangladesh’s Test team, expressed his thoughts on various aspects of the game in an exclusive interview with Abdullah Al Mehdi from The Daily Star. After scoring a long-awaited Test century during the match against Afghanistan, Haque discussed his confidence for upcoming Tests, his techniques for mental preparation, the team’s preparation on challenging wickets, the rise of the pace-bowling unit, and the importance of maintaining the process in achieving good results.

When asked about his future as captain, Haque stated that he does not enjoy captaincy and believes it would be better for him to step down. He mentioned Shakib Al Hasan and Liton Das as potential leaders for the team, and also acknowledged the growth of new leaders such as Najmul Hossain Shanto and Mehedi Hasan Miraz.
