Sunrisers Hyderabad crashed out of the IPL playoffs race after losing by seven wickets to Lucknow Super Giants at home. In the life-and-death match on Saturday, Heinrich Klaasen (47 from 29 balls) and Abdul Samader (37 from 25 balls) scored 182 runs for six wickets, but Hyderabad was not saved.

Perak Mankar’s (45-ball 64*) fifty and Nicholas Pooran’s 13-ball 44* helped Lucknow win with four balls to spare in the innings. Marcus Stoinis scored 40 off 25 balls. With this win, Lucknow has moved up to fourth place with 13 points in 12 matches. On the other hand, Hyderabad’s hopes of playing in the playoffs are over with eight points in 11 matches.
