Australian captain Pat Cummins announced on Thursday that he has fully recovered from a wrist injury and is hopeful of participating in all three one-day internationals against host India, with the series starting on Friday.

While Cummins is set to make his return, Australia will still be without the services of pacer Mitchell Starc and all-rounder Glenn Maxwell for the first match in Mohali.

“I am feeling pretty good,” Cummins shared with journalists, indicating his readiness to take the field.

Many of Australia’s top players are also key members of various Indian Premier League (IPL) Twenty20 franchises, providing them with valuable insights into local conditions. Cummins mentioned that they have

“pretty good information”

about these conditions.

Australia views the upcoming series against India as an opportunity to experiment with different team combinations and players in preparation for the highly significant World Cup in India next month. Cummins expressed optimism, saying,

“Hopefully we will get a few answers in the next few games.”
