BBL expert tips and predictions
Scorchers. Surely Chris Lynn has done enough to make the ODI squad for Australia against Pakistan. I’m going with the Scorchers on the proviso that Lynn will be out of action. Michael Klinger and Ian Bell will continue to churn out the runs up the top.
Heat. Brisbane seem to be able to post scores at home, and presuming their batsmen can post one run more than the bowlers can defend, then that should be enough.
Heat. I’ll take the Heat, purely because of Chris Lynn and Brendon McCullum. If they get set, there’s no containing Brisbane at the Gabba.
Hey; I just lost my prediction on Adelaide so I will try to be more objective this time.
It is a fact that at this moment; there is no other Big Hitter than Chris Lynn! But this is also true that unlike in other/previous editions of BBL; Perth Scorchers have shown more strength and depth as a batting unit.
While Chris Lynn is a strong point for Brisbane; Shaun Marsh is the weakling of Perth. I hardly feel that he has any worth to be in the team yet; he will be in the team and it will be a burden. Despite that; Perth has quick run makers in form of Ian Bell; Michael Clinger and Mitchel Marsh!
Ashton Turner is one of the best allrounder who is still playing the BBL and the trio of David Willey, Andrew Tye and Jhye Richardson is the deadliest fast bowling attack across all teams competing in BBL this year.
Brisbane on the other hand is dependent on pyrotechnics of Lynn and Brendon. While Lynn has proven himself as a consistent deliver; Brendon was never consistent throughout his career. What I am feeling; and it is less on reasons and more on my personal bias; is that tomorrow; while Brendon may still stand for long; but Chris Lynn is going to fail. Yet; Brisbane has Ben Cutting; the all rounder who is Dangerous and Joe Burns can burn any bowler on any pitch!
In essence; team of Brisbane is more dependent on talented swashbucklers. On the other hand; Perth is a team dependent on talented dependable performers.
Perth certainly have better bowling unit but Brisbane has Swepson who can perform wonders.
Perth batting depends on Clinger; Bell, Voges, Mitchell, Turner and Paris. Any one of them can offer a sounding answer to any question raised by Lynn and/or Brendon.
I am finding both teams on equal footings but since; it is the issue of returning the favors; I strongly feel that Perth is going to win the Match.
For tomorrow’s match; my Team is Perth.
Perth will win the match!
Correction:
David Willey is bowling in India; so he is out of equation. But Mitchell Johnson is going to bowl tomorrow; so not much difference. Plus; May be Mitchel Marsh won’t play (How I wish he plays and Shaun doesn’t)! Hilton Cartwright will be playing tomorrow! From my POV; still not much change and I am backing Perth Scorchers for tomorrow.
Perth will win tomorrow’s match!
