The star batsman Mohammad Mithun, who is out of the national team, has been made the captain.
The 14-man team for the four-day match includes Mominul Haque, who lost leadership and was dropped from the Test team, and spinner Taijul Islam. Batter Enamul Haque Bijoy, who did not get a chance in the World Cup squad for the one-day matches, is included in both teams.
Test team opener Mahmudul Hasan Joy and pacer Syed Khaled Ahmed are also on this tour.
On the occasion of the tour, the ‘A’ team will leave Dhaka for Chennai on October 9. The first and second four-day matches will be held on October 12-15 and October 19-22 respectively. Three ODIs on the 27th, 29th, and 31st of October.
