This was stated in an official statement by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Thursday afternoon. After four years, Taskin and Miraz joined this shorter format of cricket. Miraz last played a T20I in December 2018. After that, he was a regular in ODIs and Tests but did not return to T20s. On the other hand, Taskin has also been included in the T20 squad as he is fully fit after recovering from the injury. Odi captain Tamim Iqbal is also not in the T20 squad led by Mahmudullah Riyad.
