“Babar does not know how to captain even after four years in charge”

Babar Azam’s leadership is often questioned in Pakistan. After the loss of the team, many of the former cricketers sometimes put him on the bench. This time Kamran Akmal threw a sharp arrow of criticism at him. According to the former Pakistan keeper-batsman, Babar does not understand anything about leadership despite being in charge for a long time.
After Pakistan’s T20 series against New Zealand, Kamran left Babar like this in his analysis on his YouTube channel. Pakistan was leading 2-0 at one point in the series but New Zealand turned around from there. Due to IPL, injuries and other reasons, the Kiwis played this series without at least 7-8 members of the best team and ended up drawing the series. A match gets washed away in the rain.
After building a capital of 193 runs in the last match, Pakistan picked up two wickets in the first over of bowling. At the end of 10 overs, New Zealand was 73 for 4. But the Kiwis won by adding 121 runs off 58 balls in a devastating partnership of Mark Chapman and Jimmy Neesham.
Chapman played an unbeaten innings of 104 runs off 57 balls, thwarting all efforts of Pakistan captain Babar. Neesham remains unbeaten with 45 off 25 balls.
Akmal blamed Babar’s leadership for this loss. This former keeper-batsman did not see anything in the captain to learn from mistakes.
“When we talk about their mistakes, they deflect and accuse us of criticizing them. But our focus is on his leadership, not his performance. We are not blind to them. After four years in charge, he (Babar Azam) does not know how to captain. He doesn’t even know which bowler to bring into the attack at any given time. It is not at all surprising that they are losing matches by making the same mistakes again and again. We didn’t reduce our mistake, that’s why they won.”
Akmal pointed out a lack of leadership in the last match. He felt that off-spinner Iftikhar Ahmed should have been bowled when the two left-handers Chapman and Neesham were batting.
“When both batsmen at the crease are left-handed, it is logical to bring Iftikhar Ahmed to bowl. But as we saw, leg-spinner Shadab Khan was brought in to bowl and the New Zealand batsmen let him down. But it should have rested Shadab and brought another all-rounder into the team and given him a chance to match himself.”
Shadab was brought in to bowl first that day in the over after the end of the powerplay. Left-handed Chapman was accompanied by right-handed Darryl Mitchell at the crease. However, Chapman, who was on strike, hit Shadab with a six and a four in the first two balls.
He was brought into the attack again in the twelfth over. This time Neesham hit a four, again Chapman hit a six-four. Shadab scored 29 runs in 2 overs. Babar did not bring Iftikhar to bowl on this day.
