Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam is an excellent and mature player. Former Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Ramiz Raja made such a comment. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is considering resting Babar Azam and Muhammad Rizwan for the upcoming Pakistan-Afghanistan series. PCB wants Shaheen Afridi as the captain in this 3-match T20 series instead of Babar. And the junior players are being thought of by sending the seniors to rest.

The former PCB chief expressed his anger on this matter. Former chairman of PCB Ramiz Raja said that the news should not reach the ears of Babar Azam and that he is being considered to be removed from the captaincy. It seems that the current committee of PCB is not able to digest Babar Azam as the captain of Pakistan.

Meanwhile, former Pakistani cricketer, Rashid Latif expressed his anger at such a plan of PCB. Rashid Latif said, “Shaheen, Fakhar, Babar, Rizwan, Shadab are a united force. And PCB wants to destroy this unity.” He also said that they want to create insecurity among the players by replacing Babar and Rizwan and making Shaheen the captain. They are practicing a ‘divide and rule policy. It will do more harm than good.

Incidentally, the three-match series was scheduled to start on March 25 in Sharjah. However, the opening match of the series has been brought forward by one day by making some changes in the schedule. That is, the first match will be played on March 24. The remaining two matches will be on March 26 and 27.
