Pakistan’s talented left-arm fast bowler, Shaheen Shah Afridi, achieved a remarkable milestone by claiming his 100th Test wicket during his comeback from injury in the first match against Sri Lanka in Galle on Sunday.

In the opening contest of the two-match series, Sri Lanka chose to bat first, and it was in his second over that Shaheen made his mark. He dismissed Nishan Madushka, who was caught behind after scoring just four runs.

Last year, at the same venue, Shaheen had reached 99 wickets in his 25th Test match when a knee injury forced him to take a break from the game.

Since his international debut in 2018, the 23-year-old pace spearhead has already amassed an impressive total of 134 wickets in white-ball matches. He has emerged as a star bowler for the team led by Babar Azam, showcasing his immense talent and potential.
