The Zimbabwe cricket team won the toss and sent Bangladesh to bat first in the second ODI of the three-match series at the Sports Club ground in Harare on Sunday. Two openers Tamim Iqbal and Enamul Haque Bijoy got off to bat first. Captain Tamim Iqbal returned to the dressing room with 71 runs in 11 overs. He returned with 50 runs off 45 balls with 10 fours and a six.

Opener Enamul Haque Bijoy, who scored 73 runs in the previous match, was run out just 6 runs after Tamim was out. On this day he returned with 20 runs off 25 balls. Former captain Mushfiqur Rahim got out for the third wicket with Nazmul Hossain Shanto for 50 runs off 64 balls. He returned for 25 runs off 31 balls.

Nazmul Hossain Shanto was dismissed for 148 runs in 29.3 overs. In the 12th ODI of his career, Shanto scored a career-best 38 runs off 55 balls. Then Afif Hossain got out with Mahmudullah Riyad for 81 runs in 82 balls for the fifth wicket. He scored 41 off 41 balls with four boundaries before returning to the dressing room.

After Afif’s dismissal, spin all-rounder Mehdi Hasan Miraz could not take advantage of batting. He too was confused by that Sikandar Raza’s spin. Miraz got a chance to score 15 runs off 12 balls before returning to the dressing room.
