Abu Zayed Rahi is in trouble for criticizing the board’s decision

Abu Zayed Rahi gave an interview to an Indian cricket site claiming that he has been dropped from the national team despite being consistent. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) did not take such a complaint well. Bangladesh Cricket’s governing body said he would be called to explain after Eid.
Rahi told the Indian site on Monday that he did not agree with the BCB’s argument that fast bowlers are being given priority. There may be other reasons behind his omission.

The BCB has taken such a reaction to Rahi in a negative way. Jalal Yunus, the board’s chief of operations, drew the attention of selectors to the issue of Rahi.

The chief selector told the media that they would call Rahi after Eid to find out the explanation. Chief selector Minhazul Abedin Nannu told an Indian cricket site, “We will call Rahi after Eid to hear the explanation. His reaction after being dropped from the Test series against Sri Lanka is really sad. ‘

Nannu said the next step would be decided after hearing Rahi’s explanation.

Abu Zayed Rahi has been dropped from the 16-man squad for the Sri Lanka series. The selection panel included Rezaur Rahman Raja in the team.
