However, most of these games in the shorter format are under the banner of franchise tournaments, with the busyness of which international cricket is getting cornered day by day.MCC organized a meeting in Dubai to save this cricket. They said in the meeting that this year’s franchise cricket engagement had had a huge impact on the ICC schedule.

Cricketers are also leaning towards this type of cricket for extra money. Even instances of early retirement to play franchise cricket are increasing. If this continues, international cricket will face a big loss in the future. And therefore the World Cricket Organization has been invited to take quick action on this issue from the meeting. In the meeting, they also said that Test cricket is now losing interest due to the crowd of franchise tournaments. Countries also show little interest in testing. However, members of the World Cricket Committee and former cricketer Sourav Ganguly did not agree with their words. According to him, there are many differences between international cricket and franchise cricket. Ganguly said, ‘I believe Tests are still the biggest platform in cricket. That’s where good players come from. Test cricket is a test of skill. It should always be at the top and countries will also give importance to it. There are many differences between franchise cricket and international cricket.’

Almost all cricket-playing countries in the world have franchise tournaments. Its number is increasing day by day. Where the teams sit in the auction with money to buy cricketers.
